Ivan Ostroumov is a (full) professor of Air Navigation Systems Department of the National Aviation University of Ukraine. Ph.D. (2009) and D.Sc. (2020) in Engineering in Navigation and Traffic Control. Professor Ivan Ostroumov is a leading teacher in Avionics, Navigation, and Air Traffic Safety Electronics Personnel (ATSEP) programs.

RESEARCH

Professor Ivan Ostroumov is a senior researcher on theory of navigation, avionics, and ground Air Traffic Control equipment. His research interests are Alternative Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (APNT); ADS-B; Safety of air transportation; air traffic analysis; efficient flight planning; Navigation algorithms of FMS (Flight management system).

ACADEMIC

Ivan Otroumov is head of bachelors educational and professional program "Systems of Air Navigation Services" which is fully compatible with Manual on Air Traffic Safety Electronics Personnel (ATSEP) Competency-based Training and Assessment (ICAO Doc 10057) in the National Aviation University.

EXPERIENCE

During 2017/18 has been a visiting scholar in the School of Aeronautics and Astronautics at Purdue University (West Lafayette, IN, USA). Research topic: An investigation and development of alternative methods of positioning and navigation for air transport.

In 2015 has been a senior developer of electronic training courses in e-Learning department of the Institute of Air Navigation (IAN) EUROCONTROL (Luxembourg).
